**Tottenham’s struggles in the Premier League persist, with the club currently sitting in 15th place.**
Having already been knocked out of both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup, the pressure on manager Ange Postecoglou has intensified as he looks to turn Spurs’ fortunes around. Their upcoming fixture against Manchester United on Sunday presents another opportunity to regain momentum.
Ruben Amorim aims dig at Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou

However, ahead of the crucial match, United manager Ruben Amorim made remarks that appeared to take a dig at Tottenham and Postecoglou.
Amorim drew parallels between his situation at United and Postecoglou’s challenges at Spurs but asserted that he manages a “bigger club” with greater expectations.
While he acknowledged Postecoglou’s tactical approach and commitment to playing attractive football, his comments suggested that the level of scrutiny at United is far more intense.
As quoted via [the Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/ruben-amorim-ange-postecoglou-manutd-34680577), the Portuguese manager said:
“So I can understand the connection between me and Ange. We have the same problems but, with all due respect, I’m in a bigger club with bigger pressure, but I think it’s important to follow all of these principles.
“He’s a good guy, a very good coach, he wants to play football in the right way and that is a very good thing. We know when we choose this kind of profession it’s a good thing but then you have to feel that pressure when you don’t win.”

Given the current state of both teams, Amorim’s statement comes across as somewhat dismissive. United are only marginally ahead of Tottenham in the league, sitting in 14th place with a two-point lead.
Despite their inconsistent form this season, Spurs have enjoyed success against United in their recent encounters. Their latest meeting in December last year, in the EFL Cup quarter-finals saw Tottenham claim a dramatic 4-3 victory.
Additionally, earlier in the campaign, Spurs secured a commanding 3-0 win at Old Trafford. This result not only marked their first away league triumph against United since 1992 but also their most emphatic victory at the venue in 46 years.
With these performances in mind, Postecoglou and his squad will be eager to complete a season sweep over United, even as they continue to battle an ongoing injury crisis. With eight key players still sidelined, squad depth remains a concern for the Lilywhites.
Despite the setbacks, Tottenham’s supporters will rally behind their team, hoping for another strong display against their rivals to inject some much-needed stability into their campaign.
