Spurs expected team vs Man United - Maddison decision and Mathys Tel change

Tottenham Hotspur host Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon with both needing a move up the table.

United and Spurs currently sit 14th and 15th in the table with two points separating them and a win would take the victor up into 12th. Ange Postecoglou's men ended their poor run in the league with a 2-0 win at Brentford but since that day have crashed out of both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup at the hands of Aston Villa and Liverpool respectively.

Postecoglou has had a rare seven days without a midweek match and has also had players finally returning to training this week after injury. Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario is set to return between the sticks and bring his leadership to the backline.

The Spurs boss finally has some options in a couple of positions, including between Ben Davies, Kevin Danso and Archie Gray in central defence. Postecoglou told football.london that James Maddison could potentially start and there are plenty of midfield choices for the head coach.

Mathys Tel started on the wing at Villa Park but scored when put through the middle and that leaves Postecoglou with a decision over whether to swap the teenager with captain Son Heung-min.
