Wiley, 20, linked up with the Hornets in the January transfer window. He has since made nine appearances for the Hertfordshire outfit.
Cleverley has shared this latest transfer update, as per a report by the Watford Observer: “We will be working hard to try and get James Abankwah back, and also working hard to try and get Caleb Wiley back to the club. I don’t think we’ll have to use a new batch of young players like we have this season.
“We’ve had James, Caleb, Mamadou Doumbia, Rocco Vata – all under-21s who have played a large part in our season. I don’t expect a new batch of under-21-year-olds to have to be integrated into the team. I think we will build on this group.
“We have an exciting squad of players for sure. Amin Nabizada and the group of second-year scholars coming through are an exciting group. We can build on the young players we’ve got.”

Watford brought in Wiley this past winter to strengthen their squad. He has since given them another option to pick from on the left.

His switch to Vicarage Road has worked out well for him. Chelsea gave him the green light to join the Hornets on a temporary deal to get some more experience under his belt.

The Premier League giants snapped him up on a long-term contract in 2024. Prior to his transfer to London, he was a key player for Atlanta United in MLS.
Wiley is yet to make a first-team appearance for his parent club. He had a stint at Strasbourg under former Derby County and Hull City manager Liam Rosenior earlier in this campaign.

Time will tell whether Watford will be able to bring back Wiley for next term. His fate lies in the hands of Chelsea.
The Hornets have an important couple of months ahead on the recruitment front. They have the chance to bring in some new faces.
Cleverley’s men have one more game left to get through this weekend before the end of the season. They don’t have too much to play for now.
They take on Sheffield Wednesday at home. Watford lost 2-1 away at Blackburn Rovers last time out.
