Liverpool attacker Federico Chiesa has offered support to Barcelona star Lamine Yamal after he starred during the enthralling Champions League final draw against Inter Milan. The Reds forward 'liked' a social media post from the talent after his performance during the Spanish giants' dramatic encounter with the Serie A outfit.
Arne Slot's side were eliminated from the competition at the Round of 16 phase after Paris Saint-Germain dumped out Liverpool on penalties after the Ligue 1 champions overturned their first-leg deficit. Despite the disappointment, it appears that the Reds players are keeping tabs on the elite European competition - and on Wednesday, they were treated to an all-time classic encounter in the new-look tournament.
Yamal scored one of the picks of the first leg after he danced through the Inter squad before curling beyond Yann Sommer to spark a comeback after the Italians raced into a two-goal lead.

Chiesa may have reignited his rivalry with Inter after locking horns with the Milan club at both Fiorentina and Juventus.
The 27-year-old faces an important summer ahead on Merseyside after being consigned to just four appearances in the Premier League.
As a result of the top-flight success having a sense of inevitability in recent weeks, there has been plenty of discussion over the Italy international's involvement in the run-in so he can receive a winners' medal following the historic triumph at Anfield.
It has been a difficult start to his time at Liverpool after being forced to wait for his first run in the squad following a disjointed summer, it meant that he signed for the Reds struggling for fitness.

The uncertainty surrounding Chiesa has loomed for a while after failing to break into the first-team, but his father, Enciso Chiesa, reaffirmed his happiness at Anfield.
"Federico is very happy at Liverpool, he is at a top club that is leading the Premier League and now we hope he can win the title," he said in March.
"He is there to have his say, he has a great opportunity."
