Journalist believes club “rubbing their hands with glee” as Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool all follow player

Ajax are rubbing their hands at the interest in Jorrel Hato, with them not particularly bothered if he joins Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpool.

That’s according to journalist Mike Verweij, [via Voetbal Primeur](https://www.voetbalprimeur.nl/nieuws/1296249/ajax-sprak-al-met-chelsea-over-transfer-van-jorrel-hato.html), who believes it is an ideal situation that Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are continuing to be linked with the youngster.

Hato is one of the rising stars of the Eredivisie, having broken through at Ajax at just 16 under Johnny Heitinga in 2023.

He’s continued to establish himself since then and has been a regular under Francesco Farioli this season in both the Eredivisie and Europe.

He’s very much considered a star of the future, and the Premier League has had their eye on him for a while, with Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool all credited with an interest in him over the last year.

The Blues appear to be at the front of the queue, with Verweij revealing on Friday that Ajax and Chelsea have already spoken about the 19-year-old in an informal chat a few months ago. He would very much fit into their philosophy of signing young talent for the future.

Verweij, though, doesn’t think that Ajax are particularly bothered about where who they might sell Hato to, and instead the numerous rumours are just good news for them.

“So, Ajax has spoken to Chelsea about Hato. But he has also been linked to Liverpool and Arsenal,” Voetbal Primeur report him saying.

“That is what you want as a Dutch club. That also happened with Lisandro Martínez, and then the price can go to a level that makes you really happy. They will be rubbing their hands with glee.

“I don’t think Ajax will care much whether he goes to Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpool. Because then he will become a player for the main prize again.”
