Crystal Palace will likely sanction the departures of Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze in the summer transfer window to fund new signings.
According to a report by The Sun, Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze are on the exit trail at Crystal Palace. The Eagles are willing to let the star duo leave in the summer transfer window to fund new signings. The development has boosted the prospects of Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur, among others.
Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze have been instrumental in Crystal Palace’s success since joining the Eagles from other London clubs. Eze was the first of the two to arrive at Selhurst Park, moving from Queens Park Rangers in August 2020. Since then, the Englishman has come leaps and bounds, establishing himself as one of the best playmakers in the Premier League.
As for Guehi, the 24-year-old has been with Crystal Palace since July 2021, arriving from Chelsea after failing to secure a pathway to first-team football. Like Eze, the star defender has been a mainstay for the South London outfit, going from strength to strength in the last four years while becoming the club captain. The duo’s progress has alerted high-profile Premier League sides, including Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham.
Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are vying for Guehi’s signature heading into the summer transfer window, with the latter also failing with a winter move. Chelsea will likely part ways with Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile in the summer transfer window. In addition, Trevoh Chalobah, formerly on loan at Crystal Palace, faces an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge.
Meanwhile, both Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze are on Tottenham’s radar. Richarlison’s impending departure makes Eze an appealing target for the North London outfit, even though he will not be a like-for-like replacement.
