Benjamin Sesko scored yet another stunning goal for RB Leipzig on Saturday, proving exactly why he has been on Arsenal's transfer radar while leaving an onlooking Harry Kane speechless.
Approaching the summer transfer window, Arsenal's biggest problem to rectify is the lack of an out-and-out striker. As has been seen throughout the campaign, this is not a new issue.
But it was one that the club were unable to solve last summer as Sesko evaded their grasp, for one factor or another.
football.london understands the Gunners were interested last year but talks never reached an advanced stage. Sesko's wish to have a resolution before Euro 2024 never happened and despite Eddie Nketiah leaving the Emirates Stadium, a deal was not done.
It is a situation the club have been left to regret as the Slovenian has netted 20 in all competitions this season - five more than Arsenal's top scorer Kai Havertz this term with only three of Mikel Arteta's stars to cross the ten-goal marker.
The latest of Sesko's strikes came on Saturday afternoon as Leipzig contested a crucial Bundesliga fixture. Opponents Bayern Munich needed victory to claim the title.
And the 21-year-old took only 11 minutes to dent those hopes, countering with pace from inside his own half.
Bayern goalkeeper Jonas Urbig slipped as he attempted to rush back into position and the Arsenal target finished with the outside of his boot from range into the middle of the goal.
Former Tottenham Hotspur frontman Kane, suspended for the title-decider, watched on in disbelief from the stands.
He held the same expression when Leipzig extended their advantage to two goals before the half-time whistle, though he was much more jubilant when a second-half turnaround was completed by the 83rd minute.
The England captain was on the verge of his first-ever trophy, but the man who replaced Sesko - Yussuf Poulsen - would hit back in the 95th minute to make Kane's career-long wait continue.
Even if the Gunners would get a kick out of their old rival suffering, their focus will be on strengthening for future.
Sesko is reported to have a release clause for the coming summer, claimed to be variable as it starts at €60m (£49.5m) but could go above €80m (£66m) if certain conditions are met.
