Hansi Flick raised a few eyebrows with his teamsheet for Barcelona’s La Liga clash with Real Valladolid on Saturday.
The German coach has heavily rotated his side, as the fixtures comes in between two Champions League ties with Inter, and handed Dani Rodriguez his first-team debut.
Fans have been waiting to see Rodriguez for a little while now, and Flick is excited to see what the youngster can do.
”He’s a player we love. He’ll play as a number 7 on the right,” he told DAZN.
“He’s very popular here. He returned to the reserve team about a month and a half ago after an injury. I’m happy for him. I hope he can prove his worth today.”
Andreas Christensen, Hector Fort, Ansu Fati, Pau Victor and goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen are also in the starting XI for the match against La Liga’s bottom side.
