Arsenal went ahead but lost from a winning position after two second half goals from Bournemouth gave the visitors a 2-1 win – their first ever away at Arsenal.
Declan Rice put the Gunners ahead, but Dean Huijsen headed home too easily from a long throw, before a contentious winner from Evanilson won the game for Andoni Iraola’s side. The ball appeared to go in off his elbow but VAR decided they couldn’t decide so let the goal stand.
