Mikel Arteta says he’s not confident that Jurrien Timber will be available to face Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, and he’s also not sure about Martin Odegaard’s fitness status.

Arsenal have a couple of new injury concerns following Saturday’s defeat to Bournemouth, with Jurrien Timber missing the game completely and Martin Odegaard coming off early.
Speaking after the match, Mikel Arteta wouldn’t give any assurances around Timber’s potential return against Paris Saint-Germain for the Champions League semi-final second leg on Wednesday.
“Confident? At the moment, no, because he wasn’t able to play here and we play in four days,” Arteta said. “I cannot tell you (what his injury is).”

As for Odegaard, the Arsenal manager didn’t have much information to give the media.
“I haven’t had a chance yet to speak to a doctor to give me an update on that, so I don’t know,” Arteta confirmed.
Neto will return to the squad after his absence against parent club AFC Bournemouth, and Thomas Partey will be available after missing the first leg through suspension.

Gabriel Jesus, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Gabriel Magalhaes are all out for the season, whilst Kai Havertz and Jorginho won’t be ready to return just yet.
There’s less certainty around Riccardo Calafiori, who should be close to a return at this stage, but there are no new updates. The defender hasn’t been seen in full training yet, so even if he does return in the next few days, it will likely only be for a bench role against PSG.
