Flick ‘seriously considering’ using four centre-backs for Barca against Inter

Hansi Flick has some thinking to do ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League semi-final second leg tie with Inter as he is without some key defenders.

Jules Kounde will miss the game due to injury, while Alejandro Balde is also expected to sit this out one as he remains on the sidelines.

According to AS, Flick is now “seriously considering” using four center-backs against Simone Inzaghi’s side.

The German coach is thinking about using Eric Garcia at right back, Pau Cubarsi and Ronald Araujo in the middle and Inigo Martinez as his left-back.

Flick does have other options but the report suggests that Gerard Martin playing all 90 minutes against Valladolid is evidence he will not start against Inter.

Andreas Christensen may also have played himself into contention after returning from injury but is likely to have to settle for a place on the bench at San Siro.
