Andrea Berta has the equally exciting and daunting task of helping build an Arsenal team that is prepared to win major silverware come the summer.
But Arsenal perhaps appointed the Italian in the first place due to his wealth of experience after having spent more than half a decade at one of the biggest clubs in the world in Atletico Madrid.
Andrea Berta has been proactive at Arsenal from day one and has shown no signs of needing to settle in.
So much so that Berta could spend in excess of £300 million in the summer — which also suggests how much trust he has already gained from the Gunners hierarchy.
From Dean Huijsen to Nico Williams, the Arsenal sporting director has plenty of targets in mind to elevate Mikel Arteta’s current squad of players.

Arsenal target Dean Huijsen could decide Bournemouth future this month
Andrea Berta is a huge fan of Huijsen and so is Mikel Arteta as the pair believe he is a top-class defender in the making.
The North Londoners’ appreciation towards the AFC Bournemouth centre-back is such that Arsenal were trying to sign Huijsen by striking an agreement in the next few days.
The good news for Mikel Arteta and Co is that the Spaniard is set to decide his future this month, with Fabrizio Romano revealing on his YouTube channel: “Some sources are telling me that there is a strong possibility to see Dean Huijsen deciding his future this month. So, not to be a saga for July, August, deadline day and all these sorts of stories but to be a quick transfer.”
“Now, three clubs remain involved in this race in a strong way because there was interest from Newcastle, there was interest from Tottenham, Bayern have been calling for a long time but Bayern also understand they need time before they can be fast on a defender.”
Fabrizio Romano claimed Arsenal, alongside Chelsea and Liverpool are the frontrunners to sign Huijsen: “That’s why Bayern at the moment are not so optimistic. The three English clubs involved are Chelsea, excellent relationship with the player’s side, Arsenal, considering Dean Huijsen as a top, top defender and so also in contact with the player’s side and then Liverpool.”
“All these three clubs are absolutely in the race.”
What Real Madrid have just done to seal Dean Huijsen signing
Huijsen has earned rave reviews for his incredible rise this season as the 20-year-old — who has a £50 million release clause has emerged as one of the Premier League’s finest centre-backs.
Real Madrid sent scouts to watch Huijsen during Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat against Bournemouth — a game in which he scored the opening goal as well.
Huijsen would like to play in Spain, which would be the worry for the Gunners.
If Andrea Berta can persuade the former Juventus sensation to opt for a move to the Champions League semi-finalists, he will gain the trust of the supporters as a truly world-class operator at his job.
