The midfielder is now hoping to be given the all clear to play again and return before the end of the season.
According to Diario Sport, Casado is desperate to be fit in time for Sunday’s Clasico with Madrid and is battling to prove his fitness ahead of the game.
After missing almost two months of action, Barca won’t rush Casado back but he may well enjoy some minutes in the coming weeks.
Barca still have to play Madrid, Espanyol, Villarreal and Athletic Club in La Liga and they’ll also be hoping there’s a Champions League final to play at the end of the season, too.
Casado’s return could help ease the burden on Hansi Flick’s squad, as he could be an option to give some of the midfielders a rest at the end of a long campaign.
