Christopher Nkunku is set to remain sidelined with injury
Chelsea are currently dealing with a number of injury concerns ahead of the crucial Premier League fixture against Newcastle United next Sunday (12pm).
Newcastle's 1-1 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday, saw European rivals, Chelsea move level on points after a 3-1 win over Liverpool. However, they have scored less goals and are therefore, below them in the table.
"It's all to play for," Eddie Howe said after the clash. "We have three huge games, three very tough games in different ways.
"Two of them are at home and we hope that can make the difference."
However, the Magpies will have the chance to pull ahead once more when they host Enzo Maresca's side next weekend.
The West Londoners are currently managing five injuries, with Christopher Nkunku expected to remain sidelined for up to another 15 days, according to Maresca.
"Christo will be out for, I'm not sure, I think one week, two weeks," the Italian manager told reporters after the win over Liverpool.
"We are going to see. He will be out for the next 10 days, 15 days."
Nkunku was absent from the squad that traveled to Sweden for last Thursday’s 4-1 victory over Djurgarden in the first leg of the Conference League semi-final.
Although Robert Sanchez was also sidelined, he returned to take his place in goal against Liverpool.
Elsewhere, Wesley Fofana (thigh), Omari Kellyman (thigh), Marc Guiu (thigh) and Mykhhailo Mudry (suspended) remain unavailable.
Of the five injured players, Guiu is the only one who could potentially return before the season concludes.
Providing an update on the Spaniard, who hasn't played since February, Maresca said late last month: "Marc is still out.
"He is doing well, and he is getting closer. Maybe another one or two weeks and then we hope he will be back to help us with the final part of the season."
