One Coventry City star us shaping up to be a Frank Lampard 2.0 after what he has achieved this season.
Coventry City have finished the season in the Championship play-off places, a fantastic achievement considering where they were when Frank Lampard took over from Mark Robins.
After Bristol City were unable to beat Preston North End at home, it means that Coventry City will face Sunderland in the play-offs, a game that the Sky Blues will certainly be optimistic over because of the Black Cats’ awful form, as well as the fact that the last meeting between the two sides ended 3-0 to Lampard’s side at the CBS Arena.
Much of this comes down to the brilliant ability of Lampard to get the very best out of his talent-filled squad, including one man who has almost embodied what his boss showed in his playing career at Chelsea, offering an incredible goalscoring output from the centre of the park.

Coventry City star Jack Rudoni has proven himself to be a Frank Lampard 2.0 after impeccable season
This season, one of Coventry City’s several shining stars has been Jack Rudoni, most notably for his goalscoring ability.
Rudoni has been brilliant throughout the season, but he has undergone a transformation since Lampard joined the side. Before the Chelsea legend joined the club, Rudoni notched a goal contribution every 2.83 games, but since Lampard joined, he has managed one every 1.7 matches.
The Coventry midfielder has almost shown glimpses of a prime Frank Lampard this season, having notched nine goals and 12 assists, showing that he can provide a brilliant return infront of goal, whilst also dominating the centre of the park on many occasions.

Jack Rudoni will be crucial for Frank Lampard in Championship play-offs
In recent games, Rudoni has unsurprisingly played a crucial role, having notably bagged a brace in the last game of the season against Middlesbrough to help seal the play-offs for Coventry City.
There is no doubt that in the upcoming clash with Sunderland, the Coventry star will play a crucial role in the midfield for Lampard’s side, especially as someone who could capitalise on one key Black Cats shortcoming.
Recent games have shown Sunderland to be rather passive in midfield, with the likes of Chris Rigg and Jobe Bellingham providing little cover for Dan Neil in defensive midfield, something that could benefit Rudoni as he looks to play in-between the gaps of the midfield.
