Ousmane Dembele has returned to training ahead of Paris Saint-Germain's clash against Arsenal. The Parisians will host Mikel Arteta's side at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final.
The 27-year-old winger, who remains a doubt for the fixture, fired PSG to victory at the Emirates Stadium last week, taking a one-goal lead back to the French capital. Dembele later suffered a hamstring injury, missing Saturday afternoon's defeat to Strasbourg.
An official club statement confirmed that the France international had been 'progressing well' and that 'further assessment will be carried out shortly'. Speaking to reporters ahead of PSG's trip to the Stade de la Meinau, Luis Enrique refused to comment on whether Dembele would miss the Arsenal game.
Instead, the Spaniard ruled his talisman unavailable for the Strasbourg clash. On Friday, as quoted by RMC Sport, Enrique said: "Tomorrow, he won't play, that's for sure."
Dembele was one of 10 changes that the PSG head coach made to his starting lineup. Only João Neves kept his place in the team, though even he was played out of position to accommodate the new faces in midfield.
The Frenchman has since returned to first-team training. Dembele was spotted out on the grass with his teammates on Monday as Enrique stepped up preparations for the highly anticipated Champions League bout.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Desire Doue, Bradley Barcola, Achraf Hakimi, Fabian Ruiz, Vitinha, Goncalo Ramos, Lucas Beraldo, Warren Zaïre-Emery, Willian Pacho, Marquinhos, Neves and Nuno Mendes were also all in action.
At the weekend, Enrique was questioned by journalists about his decision to make wholesale changes in preparation for the Arsenal match. The former Barcelona manager said: "Mr. Arteta has his way of working, Mr. Enrique has his. I don’t know which is better.
Unlike Enrique, Arteta made just two changes in the Gunners' 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth. The PSG boss added: "They had rest periods when we didn’t. Apart from the result, all the objectives I had set were achieved."

Meanwhile, following Arsenal's defeat to Bournemouth, Arteta rued the opportunity to 'create a really good vibe' ahead of the PSG match. He said: "Well, we certainly wanted to create a really good vibe.
"A positive result would really help us to build what we wanted towards Wednesday. So what we have created now is a lot of rage, anger, frustration and a bad feeling in the tummy. So make sure that we use that for Wednesday to have a massive performance in Paris, win the game and be in the final."
On PSG resting players, Arteta said: "Well, I don't know. They won the league so they have the luxury to do that. We haven't because we still have a lot to do in the Premier League.
"But we have four days and I'm sure we'll be fully recovered and at our best to play the game..."
