Arsenal have received a boost ahead of their Champions League semi-final second leg match away to Paris Saint-Germain, with Jurrien Timber, Martin Odegaard, and Riccardo Calafiori all involved in a squad training session on Tuesday.

Timber missed Arsenal’s match against AFC Bournemouth at the weekend, whilst Odegaard was withdrawn early with a knock, raising doubts over whether either would be fit to face PSG in midweek.

But both players have now made their return to full training, suggesting they’ll be fit to feature if called upon.

As for Calafiori, the defender has been out of action since the March international break, having suffered an injury whilst playing for Italy.

The 22-year-old has been out of action for Arsenal’s last six Premier League fixtures and three Champions League games, with Mikel Arteta forced to rely on Myles Lewis-Skelly at left-back and Jakub Kiwior at centre-back.

Fortunately, both players have dealt with the responsiblity well, but it will be a boost to have an alternative option in the two positions for the last few weeks of the season.

There was no sign of Jorginho or Kai Havertz in training on Tuesday, with both hopeful of returning this season, but clearly not yet.

Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Jesus, and Takehiro Tomiyasu all remain out of action as well, with no expectation that any of them will be back before the campaign ends.

We’ll get a better sense of whether Odegaard, Timber, and Calafiori will be involved in Wednesday’s match when the squad travel to Paris later on Tuesday.
