Florian Wirtz has informed Bayer Leverkusen of his desire to join Bayern Munich this summer, according to reports in Germany.
The 22-year-old is wanted by both Manchester City and Real Madrid, among others, but he has now decided to join Bayern this summer.
That is according to German outlet BILD" href="https://sportbild.bild.de/fussball/fc-bayern-muenchen/real-city-oder-bayern-florian-wirtz-hat-klaren-wechsel-wunsch-6819a8d26255e217f6c1de4c" target="_blank">BILD, who claim that Wirtz has informed Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso that he doesn’t want to join Man City or Real Madrid as he only wants to move to the Allianz Arena.

Bayern are yet to finalise a deal with Leverkusen, however BILD state that Wirtz’s move to Bavaria is “becoming more and more likely.”
The 22-year-old’s current contract at the BayArena is due to expire in 2027 and Leverkusen are rumoured to be asking for a fee of €120 million to sanction a sale this summer, which slightly exceeds his €116.4m Estimated Transfer Value (ETV).
Wirtz has scored 16 goals and provided 12 assists so far this season, and he is set to complete a formidable forward line at Bayern alongside Michael Olise, Jamal Musiala and Harry Kane.
