Eight players who could miss PSG vs Arsenal as Mikel Arteta handed triple injury boost

Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain will each have players on the side-lines when they play in the Champions League this week - with a place in the final up for grabs.

The Gunners will be looking to overturn a 1-0 deficit when they travel to the Parc des Princes for the second leg of their semi-final showdown on Wednesday night (8pm).

Mikel Arteta's side took part in an open training session on Tuesday before their trip to Paris. Arsenal will be aiming to claim a victory over PSG and secure a spot in the Champions League final, where they would take on either Inter Milan or Catalan giants Barcelona.

Four members of Arsenal's squad did not take part in their latest training session on Tuesday due to injury. Gabriel Magalhaes, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus and Takehiro Tomiyasu all remain side-lined with their respective injuries and will not be available to face PSG.

There were also concerns about two other players after the defeat to Bournemouth in the Premier League at the weekend. Martin Odegaard emerged as a fitness issue despite playing the entire 90 minutes against the Cherries, while Jurrien Timber was absent from the matchday squad.

Both Odegaard and Timber took part in Tuesday's open training session, however, indicating that the duo may be available to face PSG on Wednesday night.

There was another boost, too, with Riccardo Calafiori returning to training after missing the last nine matches in all competitions with a knee injury.

For PSG, they also have injury concerns going into their clash against Arsenal. Ousmane Dembele is a doubt after suffering a hamstring injury in the first leg at the Emirates Stadium, although the France international did take part in training on Tuesday.

PSG will be without defender Presnel Kimpembe, who is set to be side-lined with a foot injury.

Midfielder Lee Kang-in and defender Lucas Hernandez are also fitness doubts for PSG - after the pair were both substituted at half-time in their Ligue 1 defeat to Strasbourg over the weekend.

The duo were in training on Tuesday, though, and it remains to be seen if they will be available to face Arsenal.
