Reports that West Ham will accept a €70 million offer from Arsenal for Mohammed Kudus have been rubbished by a club insider this evening.
A story began to circulate late this afternoon, claiming that the Hammers had already agreed a fee with the North London club for the Ghanaian winger.
However, Claret & Hugh has been told by a club source that this is “very much not the case”, adding that the reported transfer fee — which converts to £59 million — would be considered derisory by the West Ham board.

Arsenal are said to be exploring options to upgrade Gabriel Martinelli, who was ironically offered to West Ham for £1.5m by Ituano in 2018 before joining the Gunners. While Martinelli has impressed under Mikel Arteta, it’s understood that Arsenal feel there is room for improvement on the left flank.
It’s something of an open secret that Kudus is high on the wanted list of the club who face off in the second leg Champions League semi final against PSG tomorrow.
West Ham, however, hope for a bidding war this summer to drive Kudus’ price tag closer to his £85m Premier League release clause.
For now, any suggestion of an agreement with Arsenal at £59m is being firmly dismissed by the club.
