Simone Inzaghi was 'protected from suspension' by his own players after the Inter boss charged onto the pitch during half-time of extra-time in the Champions League semi-final.
It was an all-time classic between Inter and Barcelona and the Italian giants were 4-3 up on the night (7-6 on aggregate) when the whistle blew for half-time in extra-time.
Inzaghi was incensed by the timing of the whistle as his side were in the ascendancy and was seen walking onto the pitch in the referee's direction.
But the moment was spotted by two of Inter's subs who ran onto the pitch and pushed him back towards the bench.
Lead commentator Jon Champion spotted it even though the TV cameras nearly missed it and said: "One or two of Inzaghi's own players have pushed him off the pitch, trying to protect him from disciplinary sanctions had he got to the referee."
Davide Frattesi had just five minutes previous given Inter the lead in the race to reach the Champions League final at the Allianz Arena in Munich next month.

They had trailed on 88 minutes when Raphinha thought he'd won it but remarkably battled back into it with Francesco Acerbi, 37, to become the oldest scorer at this stage of the competition.
Frattesi then scored deep into the first half of extra-time and that, finally, was that for one of the best Champions League ties in living memory.
Inzaghi was back onto the pitch at full-time, this time to celebrate, and his players weren't stopping him this time around.
