Arsenal are set to clash with Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday in a match that could make or break their season. However, the Gunners are also eyeing a return to Parc des Princes during the summer transfer window.

Despite still being in the running for the Champions League title, Mikel Arteta is eager to revamp his Arsenal squad this summer. Several areas need strengthening, particularly up front.

While a fresh striker tops the agenda, another player to challenge Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka is also on the cards. This has led Arsenal to cast their gaze towards the French capital.

In other news, January target Ollie Watkins has been advised to swiftly decide his future after voicing his discontent at Aston Villa. It seems that Arsenal are closing in on signing Martin Zubimendi.

The Real Sociedad sensation has been linked with a move to the Emirates for a while now, and it appears a deal is rapidly taking shape. Here, Mirror Football brings you all the latest Arsenal transfer gossip, reports the Mirror.

Arsenal are hatching a plan to swoop for Paris Saint-Germain's Lee Kang-In. The South Korean star has fallen out of favour at Parc des Princes and is free to depart the French capital come summer.

According to The Sun, the Gunners are primed to reignite their interest in Lee, having considered a deal back in January. Sporting director Andrea Berta is reportedly a massive fan of the 24 year old and will advocate for a summer transfer.

PSG are desperate to claw back the £18.7million they splashed out for Lee from Mallorca and won't entertain bids under £17m. Word on the street is that Lee's itching to ditch Paris, with hopes of sealing a swift deal buzzing.

Alan Shearer has given Ollie Watkins a nudge to makeup his mind sharpish about his career moves. After a botched attempt in January, Arsenal's got their sights set on Watkins this summer, with the striker not exactly chuffed at Aston Villa.

"It's alright being left out of the odd league game but when you're left out of the biggest game of the season against Paris Saint-Germain you think, 'Oh, OK'. They have a decision to make and he may have a decision to make," Shearer dished out on Match of the Day.

"He's got two years left and he's coming up to 30 so it's either sign a new contract or go elsewhere. With the interest from Arsenal in January, I don't suspect that was without him knowing about that or his people giving the go-ahead."

Arsenal are on the brink of bagging Martin Zubimendi, with the Gunners now leading the pack to snap up the midfield maestro. The Spanish sensation has been on Arsenal's radar for a while after bailing on a switch to Liverpool last year.

But with Real Madrid sniffing around Zubimendi too, Mikel Arteta's squad faced some stiff competition. However, Radio Marca has let slip that the Gunners are 'winning the race' to nab the Real Sociedad ace.

The Premier League squad is considered the 'best-placed team' to secure Zubimendi's signature. The managerial instability at Madrid, with Carlo Ancelotti likely to depart at season's end, has paved the way for Arsenal.
