Five early Arsenal team news hints dropped for PSG clash as Thomas Partey decision made

Returning midfielder Thomas Partey has hinted at his involvement for Arsenal against Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final.

Partey missed the 1-0 defeat to PSG at Emirates Stadium last week, due to his one-match suspension for yellow card accumulation throughout this season's elite competition. Mikel Arteta, though, downplayed the player's absence when speaking afterwards, acknowledging that Declan Rice and Mikel Merino were "enormous" in the Gunners' midfield.

However, the Arsenal manager did go on to concede that Partey "gives options and a different threat. It gives us flexibility to change the game."

Partey is now available, yet again, and posted a matchday graphic on his Instagram story 12 hours before kick-off. Leandro Trossard has also done likewise.

It comes after both of them played the entirety of Saturday's defeat to Bournemouth in the Premier League. Partey's return to the starting line-up saw Merino drop to the bench, in one of only two changes - Ben White replacing Jurrien Timber at right-back being the other.

Merino then came on as a substitute for England regular Rice during the second half. The former, however, could return to the team up front instead of Trossard in Paris.
