Manchester United are reportedly eyeing an ambitious swap deal that could see them land two high-profile players who rejected Arsenal. With Juventus showing interest in Rasmus Hojlund, United are exploring several different options ahead of what's set to be a crucial summer for the club.
According to Tuttosport, Juventus are open to offering both Dusan Vlahovic and Douglas Luiz in exchange for Hojlund, as they look to offload players to reshape their squad.
Vlahovic famously snubbed Arsenal in favour of a £70million move to Turin in 2022, but his time in Italy could be coming to a close. With just over a year remaining on his contract, Juventus are eager to find a buyer to avoid losing him for free in 2026.
Despite scoring 55 goals in 140 appearances for the Italian giants, Vlahovic, 25, has come under scrutiny for his inconsistency and inability to deliver in big games. His nine-goal return in Serie A this season, coupled with his eye-watering £317,000-per-week wages, has left Juve's hierarchy looking for a way out.
Luiz, meanwhile, has struggled to cement a place in the Juventus starting XI since his £43m switch from Aston Villa last year. The Brazilian midfielder, 26, was once the subject of multiple deadline-day bids from Arsenal and has long been on the radar of Premier League clubs. Manchester City were linked with him as recently as January, but he could now end up across town at Old Trafford.
With manager Ruben Amorim preparing for his first full season, United are expected to reinforce across the pitch. Midfield is a particular area of focus, and Luiz is seen as a player who could add energy and tenacity to the centre of the park.
However, any move may depend on Juventus following through on their interest in Hojlund. The Danish forward has endured a difficult spell at Old Trafford, struggling to justify his £72m price tag since arriving from Atalanta in 2023.

However, his prior success in Serie A ensures he remains a coveted asset in Italy, and Juve - in need of a Vlahovic replacement - are considering a swoop, particularly since Hojlund looks to be on the fringes of Amorim's current plans.
Reports suggest Juventus are willing to part with both Vlahovic and Luiz to bring Hojlund to Turin. But whether this proposal aligns with United's priorities remains to be seen.
The club's financial situation remains delicate, and a straight cash injection might be more appealing as they look to balance the books. That said, if Hojlund does leave this summer, United will need to replace him - and Vlahovic offers proven European pedigree at a potentially reduced cost.

There is, however, the issue of Vlahovic's salary. With only three United players currently earning more than £200,000 a week, the former Fiorentina star would likely need to accept a significant pay cut to make the move viable.
Nevertheless, the deal has the potential to be both shrewd and transformative - the kind of calculated risk United may need to take after a dismal campaign they can't afford to repeat.
