Everton fans are expecting at least one new striker to arrive at the club this summer.
The Friedkin Group have a huge amount to do to ensure David Moyes gets a good chance of pushing Everton on in 2025/26.
As things currently stand, a large player turnover is expected at Everton.
And the striker department will need strengthening, with Armando Broja and Dominic Calvert-Lewin both expected to leave.
Liam Delap is a player Everton like, although the competition to sign the Ipswich Town number nine is fierce.
But Moyes confirmed he is a player the club hold an interest in, and it was also then claimed that Everton were ‘all in’ on Delap.
Apparently Ben Godfrey has also told Delap about Everton, having been at the club himself before.
But now there’s been a development with Delap that may mean Everton have to start making moves if they’re serious about a move.

Several clubs are eyeing Delap ahead of the summer transfer window, which is very understandable.
Despite Ipswich’s struggles as a collective, Delap has done very well on a personal level, scoring 12 goals in 37 appearances.
It seems one club has now taken the initiative in the Delap race.
According to Football Transfers, Arsenal have made a move for the England U21 international, presenting an offer to the player.

The Gunners are also said to be willing to pay Delap’s £30 million release clause.
But while this is perhaps not ideal for Everton, there is still hope for Moyes over a possible hijack.
That’s because it’s stated Arsenal are actually looking at signing two strikers, with Viktor Gyokeres a top target.
And apparently, Arsenal have made it clear to Delap that he would be an understudy to the Swede if they got him from Sporting CP, ‘or another experienced striker’.

It’s been claimed previously that a big factor for Delap this summer when he comes to choose his next team is the prospect of playing regularly.
He has done that all season with Ipswich, and he is keen to continue his development after a great campaign.
That Arsenal may only look to use him as a back-up to someone else initially may just mean Everton still have an outside chance of signing him.

Delap – who’s been branded ‘quality’ by former Premier League goalkeeper Paul Robinson (via BBC Sport) – would be highly likely to play regularly for Everton, especially with two players in his position looking like they’ll leave.
It would now be in Everton’s best interests to make contact with Delap and his representatives, and state firmly that he would be the main man at Bramley-Moore Dock.
Everton may not be able to offer European football, but the new stadium, new ownership and exciting times that lie ahead might just sway the former Manchester City man.
