Arsenal are showing fresh interest in West Ham United’s Mohammed Kudus, with the Hammers reportedly willing to sell the player this summer.

Alex Crook reports for talkSPORT that Arsenal have reignited their interest in Mohammed Kudus, having previously been after the West Ham United player in past transfer windows.
Though Crook claims Arsenal are long-term admirers of Kudus, the Gunners haven’t made much of an effort to sign the player in the last year or so. That could change this summer, with the report suggesting Arsenal have now added him to their list of potential summer targets.
Kudus could well be available as well, with the report also stating that West Ham are willing to cash in on him to raise funds for their summer business.

Kudus has an £85m release clause in his contract, but talkSPORT suggest it’s unlikely Arsenal would be willing to pay a fee that high, particularly on the back of a difficult season for the 24-year-old.
The Ghana international has just four goals and three assists for West Ham in 32 appearances this season. Even that appearance total is lower than he would have liked, in part because of a lengthy suspension he received in October, keeping him out for five games.

But West Ham have struggled collectively this season, sitting 17th in the table. When they finished ninth in the previous campaign, Kudus contributed 17 goals and nine assists, and that would be more like the output Arsenal would want from him.
If the Gunners believe they can help him recapture that form in north London, they may be willing to invest in his signing. Just not the £85m the release clause dictates.
