Brighton and Hove Albion can be added to the growing list of parties interest in Lazio full-back Nuno Tavares.
That’s [according to La Lazio Siamo Noi](https://www.lalaziosiamonoi.it/in-evidenza/calciomercato-lazio-tavares-e-la-chiamata-della-premier-altri-due-club-su-di-lui-224278), who report that Brighton have joined several Premier League sides in showing an interest in the full-back.
They explain that Tavares has a growing list of admirers after impressing in Italy this season, with clubs in Serie A keen and the Premier League looking at him again.
He had a mixed bag in England in spells with Arsenal and Nottingham Forest but that has not stopped the suitors accumulating for him.
Nottingham Forest are ready to try again with him, and Newcastle and Chelsea have also asked for information. Now, Brighton appear to be ‘particularly interested’ in the full-back. They believe that the Portuguese defender could strengthen their options considerably.
They’re seemingly less than impressed with Ferdi Kadioglu and Pervis Estupinan and it’s claimed both could be moved on to make room for Tavares.
Lazio are expecting offers to arrive but have to deal with a 40% re-sale clause that they owe Arsenal if they are to sign him on a permanent basis this summer.
That will greatly increase Tavares’ purchase price and could push suitors elsewhere. Whether Brighton are one of them remains to be seen.
