Rio Ferdinand will miss TNT Sports' coverage of Arsenal's trip to PSG in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final as he shared a picture from a hospital bed.
The Manchester United legend has been admitted to hospital ahead of his scheduled appearance as a pundit for Wednesday night's Champions League semi-final.
Ferdinand, 46, posted a selfie of himself in a hospital bed with his thumb up on X. He added the caption: "Gutted to be missing the Semi-Finals this week on @footballontnt!! Wishing the team all the best - I'll be watching every minute from the iPad!"
The former England defender has been a key part of TNT Sports' coverage but he won't be at the Parc des Princes for the second leg as Mikel Arteta's side look to overturn last week's 1-0 defeat. It's unlikely he will be at Old Trafford on Thursday to watch his United take on Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League semi-final second leg.
Fans sent their well wishes to Ferdinand on X, with one user writing: "Get well soon Rio." A second said: "Good recovery man. Take care." While a third echoed: "Get better soon Rio".

Arsenal must win in Paris to reach the Champions League final, where Inter Milan await following their incredible 7-6 aggregate win over Barcelona. The Gunners lost the home leg 1-0 through Ousmane Dembele's 4th minute strike.
Speaking ahead of the second leg, Ferdinand said on his podcast: "If there is a team who can go to PSG and win, it's Arsenal. I don't think it's about ability at this stage, I think it's about mentality and belief.
"In Bukayo Saka they've got a matchwinner who can turn the game on its head. There's positives there but if the mindset isn't right, they will get smoked, I'm telling you. The problem for Arsenal is PSG are a proper team, I don't think they're invincible but they've been the best team in the Champions League."
