Manchester United could make a huge summer move for Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo, according to reports - with the La Liga leaders' financial situation potentially playing into the Old Trafford outfit's hands in the coming months.
Hansi Flick's men managed to retain Araujo's services in January when there was vast interest in his signature, but they haven't ruled out an exit in the summer to ease their financial situation. That is something United could take advantage of in what will prove to be a huge summer for the club to turn their poor Premier League form around - and a deal could be done in the off-season.
Report: Man Utd Will go 'All Out' for Ronald Araujo
The Barcelona defender could transform their defence in the summer
Ronald Araujo
The report by Spanish outlet Fichajes states that United have made a 'decisive' decision to go all out for Araujo, with the Red Devils being willing to present Barcelona with an offer of €80million (£68million) to land the Uruguayan defender from the Blaugrana, where he was named 'one of the world's best defenders' back in November.

Ruben Amorim is thought to consider the La Liga star as a 'key piece' in the rebuilding of his defence, and he's determined to make a strong bid for his services once the season has ended and the summer transfer window has opened.
United see Araujo as a leader, and one that will consolidate their defence that has shown weaknesses throughout the campaign. Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans are out of contract at the end of the season, whilst Lisandro Martinez is harbouring a long-term injury. And given that Amorim plays a three-man defence, only having Harry Maguire, Matthijs de Ligt - who is also injured - and Leny Yoro heading into the summer will evidently have its downfalls.
Bayern Munich are also interested, but they are considering a smaller deal, which would put them at a disadvantage to United's Premier League riches - though Araujo's future will depend on his desire to move, the project presented to him and Barcelona's fiscal outlook.
He represents one of their most sought-after stars, with his leadership alongside a superb defensive ability being looked at generously by interested clubs - and now Barcelona will evaluate whether to sacrifice the star they bought in 2018 from Uruguayan outfit Boston River.
