PSG vs Arsenal LIVE SCORE: Champions League semi-final updates as Dembele starts on BENCH in boost for Gunners–updates

ARSENAL travel to PSG for the second leg of their Champions League semi-final TONIGHT.

The Gunners arrive in Paris 1-0 down on aggregate after Ousmane Dembele's stunning early strike at the Emirates last week was enough to earn the Parisians a narrow lead.

Arsenal will be hoping to avoid more European heartbreak in the French capital, 19 years on from their 2006 Champions League final defeat to Barcelona at the Stade de France.

The winner of tonight's blockbuster tie will meet Italian giants Inter Milan in the huge Munich final on May 31.

From Jordan Davies at the Parc Des Princes

The intensity of the PSG fans' whistles, boos and jeers have been heard for the first time as Arsenal's keepers - led by David Raya - entered the pitch for their warm-up.

The Gunners have dealt with some intimidating atmospheres already during their run to the Champions League semis, including against Inter Milan at the San Siro and Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

But you get the sense this will be a different kettle of fish entirely, and really test the mettle of Mikel Arteta's men.

Declan Rice last night said they need "balls", and he was spot on. It is scary enough from up in the press box, let alone down on that pitch..

How PSG line-up

The difference maker in the first leg, Ousmane Dembele, is only fit enough for the bench this evening after coming off during the first leg with a knock.

Desire Doue moves from the right flank to down the middle in Dembele's absence, while Bradley Barcola comes in on the wing.

How Arsenal line-up

The big news from the Arsenal camp is that Mikel Merino can play in his more recently familiar role of striker with Thomas Partey back from serving his one-match Champions League suspension.

Jurrien Timber passed a fitness test to start at right-back in a boost to the Gunners.

Dembele on the bench

The talking point from the XI's is the absence of Ousmane Dembele from PSG's starting 11.

The French winger has been their talisman this season, and is set to start on the bench tonight.

Potentially even tougher for the Gunners, though, as now they must deal with Dembele off the bench after playing against Kvaratskhelia, Barcola and Doue.

Chaotic scenes in Paris

Police have clashed with Paris Saint-Germain fans ahead of tonight's Champions League semi-final against Arsenal.

The French side have a one-goal lead after last week's first leg in North London.

Fans are gathering at the Parc des Princes ahead of the huge game and there has been clashes with cops.

Videos have emerged of riot police pushing PSG supporters and firing tear gas to disperse crowds.

Jorginho in Paris

The veteran midfielder has been out of action with a lung injury for almost a month.

But Jorginho has travelled with the squad for this evening's crunch semi-final second leg.

However, BBC are reporting that the Italian will not be in the official squad for tonight's match.

But there are two fitness boosts for Mikel Arteta as Ricardo Calafirori and Jurrien Timber have both been passed fit and are available to start this evening.

PSG's home record

The French side might have home advantage, but that might not be a good thing considering their history in the last four at the Parc des Princes.

They were beaten 1-0 by Borussia Dortmund in last year’s semi in Paris, and 2-1 by Manchester City in 2020/21.

They were defeated by AC Milan in their first semi-final appearance in 1995.

It must also be remembered that the Ligue 1 champions have never lifted the Champions League trophy, either.

This is new territory for them, too.

Two-hour countdown

Arsenal will take on PSG at the Parc Des Princes in exactly TWO hours time.

The Gunners are looking to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg, and book themselves into a second Champions League final in history.

For PSG, they, like Arsenal, are looking for their first Champions League trophy.

Les Parisiens have been to the final before in 2020, but are yet to win Europe's elite competition.

PSG form not fantastic

PSG, like the Gunners, are not coming into this one in fantastic form.

The side lost their quarter-final second leg 3-2 against Aston Villa, and have only won twice in five games since.

One came last week, and the other came when they beat Le Havre 2-1 following their loss to Villa.

The side, like Arsenal, were beaten 2-1 at the weekend - although they had rotated a lot more than the Gunners had in their loss to Bournemouth.

Not the ideal prelim

Arsenal are now winless in their last three heading into the clash tonight.

Their previous two fixtures have ended in defeat, and after losing to PSG, the Gunners also lost to Bournemouth last time out.

The dropped two points that all but handed Liverpool the title, as well, after Jean-Philipe Mateta dinked in from range to level the tie at 2-2.

Not the ideal momentum builder for Arteta, as the Gunners head into their biggest game since the semi-final in 2009.
