Arsenal will hope to overturn a 1-0 leg deficit when they face Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final on Wednesday night.
The Gunners slumped to a narrow defeat when they hosted their French opponents last week, and Mikel Arteta’s side must therefore win in the French capital if they are to progress and reach the final.
Either way, Arteta is likely to want to bolster his squad this summer as they look set to finish as Premier League runners-up for the third consecutive season.
In the meantime, it has emerged that the North London outfit are one of three Premier League sides chasing a Bundesliga striker.
According to CaughtOffside, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are all keeping tabs on Bayer Leverkusen forward Patrik Schick.
The 29-year-old joined Leverkusen from Italian side Roma in 2020 and has since played 166 times for his current side across all competitions, scoring 79 goals.
Schick has attracted interest from some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs
This season he has netted 25 times in 43 matches across all competitions, as well as registering a single assist.
The report claims that the three Premier League sides are all interested in the Czech Republic international, who could be available for a fee of around £25-35 million this summer.
The striker’s current contract with Leverkusen is set to run until the end of the 2026/27 campaign, but the report claims that his future is in doubt.
It is claimed that the Gunners have monitored Schick and perceive him to be a strong option to have on their list of potential transfer targets ahead of this summer’s window.
Arsenal are set to be in the market for a new forward, with both Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus having struggled with injuries during the latter half of the current campaign.
