Watch Chelsea vs Djurgarden in Conference League: TV channel, live stream, kick-off time

Chelsea are on the brink of securing a spot in the Europa Conference League final after a resounding 4-1 victory over Djurgarden in the first leg. Nicolas Jackson scored twice in the second half, with Jadon Sancho and Noni Madueke also finding the net, to put the Swedish side all but out of the tie.

It would require a dramatic collapse for Chelsea to be denied a place in their first European final since their Champions League triumph in 2021. Although the Europa Conference League is UEFA's third-tier competition, reaching the final would be a significant morale booster for Enzo Maresca's team, who are also vying for a top-five finish in the Premier League, which would secure a return to the Champions League. Here's all you need to know ahead of the second leg, including kick-off time, TV channel, streaming details and team news...

When is Chelsea vs Djurgarden?

The match at Stamford Bridge kicks off at 8pm UK time on Thursday, May 8. Despite holding a substantial lead from the first leg, Maresca has cautioned his team about the recent quarter-final scare they experienced against Legia Warsaw, who won at Stamford Bridge after losing the first leg 3-0 at home.

"The performance for one hour, 70 minutes was good, then we dropped a little bit in the last 20 minutes because we were at 4-0. It showed us we cannot allow ourselves to drop," Maresca said of the first leg.

"Against Warsaw away, we won 3-0 but then at home we struggled, so it's a good experience. For sure, the next leg at home, we're going to finish our job. We have the experience of Warsaw, we can learn from that."

And when questioned if he felt the tie was already decided, he said: "No no, absolutely [not]."

Team news

Although Romeo Lavia is once more available post-injury, he remains ineligible as he isn't listed in Chelsea's European squad roster. Christopher Nkunku is expected to be absent due to an injury sustained during training before the first leg.

Mykhailo Mudryk will miss out because of a suspension, while Omari Kellyman and Wesley Fofana are out with hamstring problems. Chelsea's advantageous position in the tie could open the door for young talents such as Tyrique George, Josh Acheampong and Reggie Walsh.
