Alfie Haaland and his son, Erling Haaland might be happier than most after witnessing Arsenal exit the Champions League at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain for multiple reasons.
Firstly, the pair would be delighted that Manchester City now have the chance of bettering the Gunners’ ongoing season by not just winning the FA Cup but also finishing above them in the league table.
Even if Pep Guardiola’s men finish third in the league, a potential triumph in the FA Cup for them would mean several fans and pundits alike would admit they have upstaged Arsenal.
After all, Arsenal have gone yet another campaign without lifting a major trophy despite City’s struggles through injury and declining players this season.

Alfie Haaland will be buzzing about Arsenal’s defeat vs PSG
One man who will feel vindicated after witnessing Arsenal being knocked out of the Champions League after being beaten by PSG is none other than Haaland’s father, Alfie Haaland.
The reason why could be the case is because Alfie Haaland took aim to Arsenal on social media by mocking them for their lack of silverware in recent years after they demolished Manchester City 5-1 in February.

The former City midfielder captioned his post at the time, which read: “This team [Arsenal] that wins everything. Ehhhhh, not.”
Haaland argued with Gabriel Jesus during the contest at the Etihad Stadium as well as the rivalry between both clubs seems to be embraced by the family as a whole.
Even Rodri took aim at Arsenal for their defensive approach when both sides met in their 0-0 draw during the 2023/2024 season where the Spaniard felt the Gunners showed they were not prepared to knock them off their perch.
It seems like Alfie Haaland feels the same about Arsenal, having been a player himself and on the basis of the facts, it is hard to disagree with him as PSG managed to oust them despite their main man in Ousmane Dembele being injured.
With Haaland’s old man mocking Mikel Arteta’s side at the time, he would be taking joy in their misery as he may especially have held on to the fact that Myles Lewis-Skelly imitated his son’s famous celebration during their previous meeting.
The fact that Arsenal chose Lewis-Skelly’s picture might have especially peeved Alfie Haaland as he may have considered the decision as disrespectful but he might now have a special place in his heart for PSG.
Erling Haaland drops hints he was supporting PSG vs Arsenal
The star striker has had his eyes glued to Champions League football this season.
Haaland lauded Lamine Yamal after his display against Inter Milan when both sides drew 3-3.
On Wednesday night, Haaland praised Achraf Hakimi’s display against Arsenal for PSG as well.
The 24-year-old took to Snapchat to caption his post: “What a player, Hakimi.”
Haaland also singled Gianluigi Donnarumma out for his heroics, stating: “Donnarumma, number one.”
Alfie Haaland and his son will now be focused on seeking revenge against Arsenal next season due to Lewis-Skelly’s celebration and their humiliating defeat at the Emirates Stadium after watching them lose to PSG.
