Aston Villa seem to have changed their mind about Chelsea defender Axel Disasi, who joined them on loan in February.
After struggling to break into Enzo Maresca‘s starting XI, Disasi moved to Villa in a temporary deal to get some more game time.
He has managed to get that under Unai Emery, playing the full 90 minutes in five Premier League games since joining the Midlands club, while the centre-back has also featured in the Champions League.
At one stage, Villa fans were really happy with Disasi. The decision makers at Villa Park right now, though, perhaps not so much.

Aston Villa unlikely to sign Axel Disasi permanently
In March, it was claimed that Villa wanted to keep hold of Disasi, but their stance seems to have changed.
According to The Athletic, the Villans are now unlikely to sign Disasi permanently this summer, meaning that a return to Chelsea before being sold or loaned out again is probable.
It comes after the Frenchman was left out of Villa’s matchday squad for their 1-0 win against Fulham last weekend.
Chelsea already have the likes of Levi Colwill, Wesley Fofana and Tosin Adarabioyo for the centre-back positions — it is why Disasi had to go out on loan — and could add to their options in the next transfer window. It means there will be little room for Disasi at Stamford Bridge next season.

The £39m France international has only picked up a couple of yellow cards, which is good for a defender, but none of his defensive numbers are amazing.
