Manchester United are among several European clubs eyeing a summer move for Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo, according to Fichajes.
The Red Devils, alongside Bayern Munich and Juventus, are reportedly positioning themselves as three of the strongest admirers of the Uruguayan centre-back, whose departure would reportedly help the Catalans ‘ease financial tensions’.
Barcelona are believed to have slashed Araujo’s asking price to €50m (£42m) ahead of the summer transfer window and are willing to listen to offers amid growing interest from European sides.
However, it remains to be seen if any of the rumoured interest materialises, considering the Catalans have just tied Araujo to a new six-year deal at the Nou Camp, running until June 2031.

According to Fichajes, Man United are showing the strongest interest in Araujo among all Premier League clubs at the moment and are willing to make a ‘strong’ offer for the 25-year-old after the season.
The Red Devils have reportedly identified Araujo as an ‘ideal’ addition to Ruben Amorim’s defence, which has struggled for consistency lately, keeping just one clean sheet in their last six Premier League games.
Araujo has endured an injury-hit season at the Nou Camp and was sidelined until mid-December with a hamstring injury.
The £165,000-a-week defender, praised as a 'cheat code', has made just 15 starts across all competitions this term, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
Man United are anticipating a busy first summer under Amorim, with reinforcements up front currently topping their agenda.
The Red Devils are advancing on a deal to sign Wolves forward Matheus Cunha and could target a new striker next, with Ipswich Town ace Liam Delap among their options.
