GMS sources have been told that Chelsea are hopeful that Aston Villa's decision to cash in on Jhon Duran when a big-money offer came their way from Al-Nassr during the winter transfer window means that they will be prepared to consider sanctioning Rogers' departure if a lucrative bid is made.
But the Villans are in a strong negotiating position as the 22-year-old's contract - which allows him to pocket £75,000-per-week - is not due to expire until the summer of 2030, and that is threatening to complicate matters for the Blues as they make preparations for Maresca's second season at the helm.
