Barcelona will embark on Asian preseason tour - report

[FC Barcelona](https://www.barcablaugranes.com) will go on a summer tour in Asia, playing three matches - one in Japan and two in South Korea - between July 21 and August 4, 2025, according to [Spanish media](https://www.marca.com/futbol/barcelona/2025/05/09/barca-cierra-gira-verano-tres-partidos-15-millones-minimo.html).

The tour is expected to generate at least €15 million for the club and is expected to include the full first-team squad. This marks their return to Asia after years of touring the United States.

The full amount of money that will be brought in from the three matches could rise if certain bonuses are met.

Barcelona will play in Japan first before going to Korea, although the opponents have not been revealed. These matches will happen starting about a week after the FIFA Club World Cup wraps up. The Catalans did not qualify to play in FIFA’s summer tournament, which can be seen as either an expansion of the previous Club World Cup format or as a brand new tournament in its own right.

Barça will thus not earn any money from the Club World Cup, making the preseason tour revenue is even more important.

The club is past its worst financial moments but has not fully recovered from mismanagement during the Josep Maria Bartomeu presidency and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
