JULIAN Araujo featured in the starting lineup for the [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/) against Arsenal for the first time since October as the Cherries came out as 2-1 victors at the Emirates.
Araujo was selected to match the pace of Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli, with the Mexican starting for the first time since AFC Bournemouth’s meeting with Aston Villa in October – Saturday’s visitors.
The 23-year-old struggled at Villa Park against Jacob Ramsey, the right-back picking up a yellow card and being substituted after 30 minutes.
Since, the former Barcelona man has made 11 appearances in all competitions, Araujo being sidelined with a hamstring injury in recent weeks.
However, ahead of the reverse fixture, Andoni Iraola has praised Julian Araujo's performance at the weekend: “I think he played well the other day against Arsenal.
“I think he had a difficult opposition. Martinelli is always uncomfortable because he's someone who is so fast that it's difficult to keep him quiet. I think he dealt quite well with Martinelli but it's true that this game is very different.
“I think Villa used the wingers in a different way. Sometimes they use them inside, sometimes outside.
“Tactically they are different from Arsenal and we'll see tomorrow, my decision for the right back position but it’s a different game to the one we faced against Arsenal.”
