As the summer draws closer, Marcus Rashford’s future is beginning to heat up as one of the biggest storylines of the summer.
Despite there being two weeks until the Premier League season draws to a close with Aston Villa coming to Old Trafford, the campaign has already ended for Marcus Rashford.
The season came to an early end as Rashford picked up an injury for Aston Villa, although he would have been in the stands on the final day of the campaign anyway against Manchester United.
This game will hopefully see Villa get to watch as United unveil the Europa League trophy, with the clash days after the Europa League final trip to Bilbao. This would make it easy for United to give Rashford his Europa League medal which he is likely to receive.
Although he is out on loan, he has been keeping up to date with United. We can tell this as Rashford praised Amad after his cameo against Athletic Club, calling him a ‘baller’.

What Barcelona are now thinking about signing Marcus Rashford this summer
It is widely known that Barcelona is Rashford’s dream destination this summer, which was also the case in January before a deal failed to materialise.
In a bid to secure this move to the Camp Nou, Rashford has enlisted the help of agent Pini Zahavi to arrange the move. But this would all mean nothing without the club also being keen, now speaking on his YouTube, Fabrizio Romano has shared what Barcelona are saying about the United loanee.

“At Barcelona, they still believe that Marcus Rashford could be an option for the summer transfer market. They believe, at Barcelona, that Rashford might be available on the market.
“Barcelona believe he could be a good solution because he can play as a number nine, he can play on the wing so he can help in several positions and he is a player who is appreciated by those at Barcelona.
“They wanted Rashford in January but it didn’t happen because Ansu Fati didn’t leave so because of financial fair play it was not possible to make a deal. But Marcus Rashford remains in the list of Barcelona.
“So if Rashford is not remaining at Aston Villa, we will see what happens. He is under consideration.”
Despite not being sold on a permanent move to Villa Park, United are in talks with Villa over Rashford’s future, although it would likely be a backup option for him.
Marcus Rashford to Barcelona isn’t an easy deal
If Rashford is intent on waiting for Barcelona, United should expect a long summer as it is almost certain to drag out with the Catalan side not exactly in a position to make the deal happen.
This is because Barcelona are still in an unstable financial position with registration problems also plaguing their team. This came up again in April when there were discussions that Barcelona might have to sell Dani Olmo as he may have been unregistered.
Due to this, Barcelona will probably have to sell first, with Romano mentioning Fati as one option from January, so he would be sold helping to free up space.
One thing that is certain is Rashford to Barcelona will not be a deal completed in an instant, but it seems all parties would be willing, so it is definitely one worth keeping an eye on.
