Chelsea Plot to Hijack Man Utd Standout Who Napoli See as Kvaratskhelia Replacement

After selling Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Paris Saint-Germain during the winter transfer window, Napoliare expected to reinvest the fee to find a replacement for the Georgian winger.

Kvaratskhelia made a significant impact during his time in Serie A, scoring 30 goals and providing 29 assists in 107 appearances. Replacing that kind of production won’t be easy, but Napoli have reportedly set their sights on Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho.

Back in March, journalist Laurie Whitwell noted that Unitedhaven’t dismissed the idea of including Garnacho in a potential dealfor Victor Osimhen, who remains a top target for PSG.

Speaking on the Inside United podcast, Whitwell added that United are pushing hard to bring Osimhen to Old Trafford, and with Napoli previously showing interest in Garnacho, a swap deal could be on the table.

Could Napoli lose out on Alejandro Garnacho to Chelsea?

Transfer insider Graeme Bailey told The Chelsea Chronicle that Garnacho is among the wingers Chelsea arekeeping an eye on, alongside Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens and Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams.

“Garnacho is very much still on Chelsea’s radar – they are looking for someone to operate from that left sideand they have done work ona lot of names,” Bailey said. “I am told that the three at the top of their list arecurrently Jamie Gittens, Nico Williamsand Garnacho.Williams is tough and to be honest I thinkas it stands is unlikely to come to Englandand if he does, am not sure Chelsea are top of his list.

“Gittens is different, we know Chelsea are working on him, we know they are in talks and trying to do something, but they are not alone with Arsenal also in the mix. And Chelsea are not set on one target and Garnacho is someone they like a lot, they tried to sign him in January. They know the player is keen on the move. And he is a huge talent, they think he would be a good fit. He seems to have been around forever but he is still just 20. Can you imagine a Garnacho, Palmer and Estevao trio behind their striker… Chelsea’s hierarchy clearly can.”

Fichajes has previously reported that Alejandro Garnacho’s future at Manchester United is in doubt this transfer window, with Napoli submitting a €80 million offer for the young Argentine forward.

The Serie A clubare undergoing a rebuild after Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s winter move to PSG. With Victor Osimhen also potentially departing, Napoliare searching for a new star to lead their attack, and Garnacho’s youth and upside make him a strong candidate.
