Barca pass Balde and Marc Casado fit for El Clasico

Barcelona have confirmed that Alejandro Balde and Marc Casado have both been passed fit in time for Sunday’s La Liga Clasico with Real Madrid.

The two players are back after injury in what will be a huge boost to manager Hansi Flick ahead of the game at Montjuic.

Balde has been out for the last few weeks with a hamstring injury, while Casado suffered a knee problem back in March.

It’s not clear yet it either player will feature against Madrid. Balde has been tipped for a bench role, with Gerard Martin expected to continue at left-back.

Casado may also enjoy some minutes off the bench if Flick needs to give any of his midfielders a breather during the game.

Barca head into the match after a brutal schedule and having been taken to extra-time in midweek in Italy in the Champions League against Inter at San Siro.
