Former Husker Nash Hutmacher lands with NFL team

Former Nebraska defensive tackle **[Nash Hutmacher](https://247sports.com/Player/Nash-Hutmacher-46056120)** has joined several of his teammates with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Hutmacher was among the team's undrafted free agents who were announced on Friday following rookie minicamps. Hutmacher had been invited to a rookie minicamp with the Baltimore Ravens, but the team passed on signing him.

Hutmacher joins former Husker center Ben Scott and linebacker John Bullock as Bucs undrafted free agents.

Hutmacher battled injuries in his final season at Nebraska, but started all 13 games and recorded 24 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks and one forced fumble. He earned honorable-mention All-Big Ten accolades for the second straight season.

The defensive lineman performed well at Nebraska's Pro Day, doing 26 reps in the bench press and recording a 29.5-inch vertical. That followed a strong week of practices at the East-West Shrine Bowl.
