Arsenal are considering a sensational summer transfer move for AC Milan star Rafael Leao, according to CaughtOffside.
It has been another “nearly” season for Arsenal, who look set to finish second in the Premier League for a third year in a row. The Champions League offered the Gunners a chance at silverware after the club were eliminated from both domestic cup competitions, but Mikel Arteta’s side were beaten 3-0 in the semi-finals, across two legs, by Paris Saint-Germain.
For all the positive work that Arteta has done at the Emirates, it remains true that he has not won any silverware as a manager since the 2019 FA Cup. Unsurprisingly, the club have an eye on the summer transfer window and already, Arsenal have reached an agreement with Martin Zubimendi for the midfielder to join ahead of the new season, as GIVEMESPORT exclusively revealed.
It would also seem that the Gunners are keen to reinforce their attacking ranks for the new campaign.

Rafael Leao in action for AC Milan
According to CaughtOffside, Rafael Leao’s contract at AC Milan has within it a release clause of almost £150 million but the Portuguese could be available for as little as £63 million. This has put teams, such as Arsenal, on high alert ahead of the transfer window.
Leao joined AC Milan from Lille in 2019 and since then has established himself as one of the best attacking players in the world. A physically imposing winger, Leao’s pace and dynamism make him an exceptional wide player who has retained the finishing ability he developed as a striker in his youth. Leao has been called "one of the best in the world" in his position.

In Leao, Arsenal may have a player that they choose to pursue instead of Nico Williams, who Arsenal are also interested in. Such is Leao's individual quality, that he could perhaps be the signing Arsenal need to finally win some silverware once again.
