Arsenal are making a late push to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha from under the nose of rivals Manchester United, according to journalist Valentin Furlan.
The Gunners look set to make a big splash this summer with GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Ben Jacobs previously telling the Market Madness podcast that the club could look to spend up to £300m during the upcoming window.

As revealed by GIVEMESPORT this week, Arsenal have agreed a deal in principle to sign Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi and will trigger the Spain international’s release clause so he can move to the Emirates after the season has finished.
The north London outfit aren’t stopping there following another trophyless season however, which was confirmed when they were knocked out of the Champions League at the semi-final stage by Paris Saint-Germain.
Arsenal are now also making a push to sign Cunha from their Premier League rivals Wolves according to Furlan, although they face stiff competition from Manchester United.
GIVEMESPORT previously reported how the ‘world-class’ Brazilian’s representatives had jetted into the UK for talks with the Red Devils, who want to quickly tie up a deal for the beginning of the summer window.
According to Furlan, a deal is considered ‘difficult’ for the Gunners because an agreement with United is ‘very close’, and they have signalled they are willing to pay his £62.5m release clause.

As well as Zubimendi and Cunha, Arsenal are reportedly advancing on two more potential new signings as well.
The Gunners are said to be ‘close’ to agreeing a deal for Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia, who would arrive to provide competition for David Raya.
They are also said to have made a £63m offer for Sporting Lisbon goal-machine Viktor Gyokeres as Mikel Arteta looks to add a recognised number nine to his squad ahead of the 2025-26 season.
The summer transfer window may not open for a few more weeks, but Arsenal and new sporting director Berta clearly mean business.
