Manchester United are set to face stiff competition from Arsenal for the signing of Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo
A lot of talk around Manchester United at the moment is about potential exits, as Ruben Amorim looks to rebuild the squad after a disastrous campaign.
The likes of Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof are set to leave upon the expiry of their contracts at the end, while there is speculation surrounding the future of many experienced players.
However, as well as departures, news is now emerging of players whom the Red Devils could target during the summer transfer window. Over the last few weeks and months, the Mancunian giants have been linked with several wingers across Europe. This may be down to the fact that the club bosses are planning to reinforce the wide department.
Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester United are all keeping tabs on Antoine Semenyo.
Manchester United are keeping tabs on Antoine Semenyo.
Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo has been among the players to have caught the attention of Manchester United chiefs. It is not surprising because the African star has enjoyed a superb 2024/25 season at the Vitality Stadium.
Antoine Semenyo looks set to be one of the hottest properties in this summer’s transfer window. With nine goals and six assists in 34 league appearances, the 25-year-old continues to show his quality and potential at a top level. He has established himself as one of the exciting attackers in the Premier League in the last couple of seasons, but with rising interest, the Cherries do not look like they’d be able to hold him for long.
Now, according to a report from the Independent, Arsenal have joined the transfer race for Semenyo. The Ghana international is viewed as someone that the North Londoners could target as an alternative to Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams.

Ruben Amorim would love to have a versatile attacker like Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo in his squad
Bournemouth has been one of Bournemouth’s standout performers, but he seems a likely candidate to be one of the star names they are forced to sell this summer. Meanwhile, Arsenal joining the race for the Bournemouth attacker is a big blow for United.
Unlike the Red Devils, Mikel Arteta’s side have enjoyed another strong Premier League season and remain second in the table. Sadly, but true, they are a better side than the Reds, and the lure of Champions League football next season could entice Semenyo.

That being said, the least Amorim’s side could do is win the Europa League and subsequently clinch Champions League qualification. This would give us some hope to beat Arsenal to the signing of the Ghana international, who still has four years left on his contract at the Vitality Stadium after signing a new deal last year.
