Thierry Henry sends message to Barcelona ahead of El Clásico

Former Barcelona star Thierry Henry has this weekend moved to showcase his support for the club.

This, of course, comes ahead of a crunch outing for Hansi Flick’s troops on Sunday.

Fresh off seeing their treble hopes brought to an end in midweek, Barcelona will tomorrow turn attentions back towards matters on the domestic front.

A showdown with none other than arch rivals Real Madrid lies in wait, in a fixture likely to prove decisive when it comes to the La Liga title race.

Emerge victorious, and the Blaugrana will be all but assured of Spanish top-flight supremacy.

And in efforts towards as much, as alluded to above, the Catalans will have the full support of a former member of the attacking ranks at the Camp Nou.

Thierry Henry was today spotted in attendance at the official Barcelona club store.

And after being pulled in for a video on the part of a Blaugrana supporter also present, the Frenchman made use of the opportunity to send a rallying cry to his ex-employers:

“I know the other day was horrible, but it doesn’t matter. The team gave us many, many, many joys that day and throughout the season. But now we have to win El Clásico, okay? Long live Barça! Visca el Barça sempre!”

🗣️ Thierry Henry envoie un message aux fans :

« Je sais que cette journée a été vraiment terrible, mais ce n'est pas grave. L'équipe nous a donné beaucoup, beaucoup de joie et de plaisir ce jour-là et tout au long de la saison… mais maintenant, il faut gagner le Clasico,… pic.twitter.com/w29aYVRRv3
