FLORHAM PARK -- Under the previous regime for the New York Jets, the organization struggled to stay out of the news due to a varying degree of reasons.
Whether it was their starting quarterback missing workouts for a trip to Egypt, pushing against playing their rookie class during rookie camp, or having players speak out about their role, drama followed the Jets everywhere they went.
That isn't the case in 2025 under new head coach Aaron Glenn.
The former Lions and Saints assistant has started his first offseason session with glowing reviews following him around. Whether it's developing a no-nonsense culture or balancing that with a young roster buying in for their new staff, Glenn has seen the team take necessary steps through the organized workout portion of the offseason.
And that also includes players arriving in droves to the voluntary portion of these workouts.
"Outstanding, I think those guys have done a hell of a job of understanding what we're trying to create," Glenn said. "I think we had over 90% in phase one and going into phase two, we're up to about 94%.
"I give those guys a lot of credit of understanding like what we're trying to create and just buying in to what we're selling."
It's a far cry from the Jets having to answer where their quarterback is during mandatory minicamp because a certain four-time NFL MVP chose to go on a trip to Egypt.
New York is past those struggles, though.
And as they prepare for the next phase of offseason workouts, they seem to have all bought in to what Glenn continues to preach.
