Newcastle United supporters are being urged to “get in early, get into them” against Chelsea today.

Newcastle United supporters can enjoy a free pint of lager to get them in the spirit for today’s huge Champions League decider against Chelsea.

Nerves are jangling around Tyneside as the Magpies take on Enzo Maresca’s men, with both teams vying for a top-five spot. Newcastle and Chelsea are level on points and goal difference heading into the final three games of the Premier League season.

A lot has been made about the 12pm kick-off time - rescheduled due to Chelsea’s commitments in Europe. Eddie Howe and Maresca deemed the time unfavourable at their pre-match press conferences and have fans raised concerns about the afternoon atmosphere.

However, the club have played their part as supporters can sample a free alcoholic beverage, with the token eligible until 11.30am. For teetotalers, the option of a soft drink is available.
