The United legend explained in his TNT Sports column: "He had proven he could reach the semi-final and final, but winning just became a problem.

Nearly men
Paul Scholes added in his TNT Sports column: "Arsenal just need to get over that line. The next step for them is going on and winning a big one, and I don’t think they’re far off achieving that.
"We can all say they keep finishing second, but it’s a lot closer compared to where Man Utd are right now. I would like United to be in a position where they get the chance to "bottle it" if that makes sense."

Amorim can learn from Arteta
Paul Scholes reckons Ruben Amorim should take notes from how Mikel Arteta has transformed Arsenal.
He wrote in his TNT Sports column: "I think Mikel Arteta has done an absolutely brilliant job at Arsenal since he first joined the club.
"He could possibly finish second for the third year in a row and I think Ruben Amorim can take a lot from what Arteta has done over these last five to six years at Arsenal.

Alan Shearer believes Liverpool will beat Arsenal on Sunday's Premier League clash at Anfield.
Shearer told Betfair:
Liverpool at home. I don't think they'll play like they did last week with them being back at Anfield so I'll go for a home win.
The guard of honour will hurt Arsenal but they've not put up a big enough fight as we thought so they'll have to deal with the guard of honour

Arteta does a Benitez
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta doubled down as he insisted his team were the Champions League’s best team and told Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique to "look at the stats".
Arteta was mocked by Enrique for claiming the Gunners were better than PSG — despite losing their semi-final 3-1 on aggregate.
The Spanish tactician —stopping just short of Rafa Benitez’s infamous ‘facts’ rant— reiterated:
I stand by what I said, 100 per cent. I’ve watched it back, seen all the stats.
When you look at all the important stats, the ones that give you the best platform to win football matches, it’s crystal clear who was better.
With an expected goals of five against three, which we had over the two legs, normally you’re in the final.
If you face PSG and they blow you away, you shake hands and say, ‘We’re not ready still’.
When you look them in the eye, suffocate them in the way we did there, you were the better team.
But it’s not about the winning probability, it’s actually making it count.
