Berta must do everything to sign £146,000-a-week ‘cheat code’, he’ll win Arsenal the Premier…

Arsenal's season has come crashing to an end after their Champions League semi-final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in midweek - and it's seen director of football Andrea Berta spring into action to land Martin Zubimendi.

The Real Sociedad midfielder has reportedly agreed terms with the Gunners, with esteemed journalist Fabrizio Romano giving the deal his 'here we go' treatment - but Berta will know that the hard work has only just begun, and that should see him do everything he can to land a left-winger to replace Gabriel Martinelli.

Arsenal Must Land Rafael Leao to Boost Premier League Chances

The Brazilian winger has scored nine goals and six assists for the north London club this season, with two in the Champions League and seven strikes in the Premier League, which isn't a bad tally by any means.

But some of his Premier League performances haven't been superb, and if Arsenal are to finally win the top-flight title, they will have to upgrade on the 23-year-old.

Rafael Leao is a player that the club have been linked with for a while, and he's had another superb campaign in all competitions for AC Milan, landing 25 goal contributions in just 48 games for the Rossoneri - and he could be the ideal addition to finally see the Premier League crown return to the red part of the capital for the first time in over two decades.

Leao joined Milan from Lille in 2019, and currently on a £146,000-per-week contract, he has since featured in over 250 games for the San Siro stars, scoring 70 goals and registering 62 assists to bring back the Scudetto for the first time in over a decade.

More so, it's Leao's dangerous nature in front of goal and direct approach that ranks him above Martinelli. He's a 'cheat code' of a player, having garnered a further 39 caps for Portugal in his career, and those experiences and goals in all competitions throughout the years will rank him ahead of his potential Brazilian counterpart.

There is no doubting that Mikel Arteta's defensive work is strong, and their build-up play is equally impressive - but they do need to start being productive in front of goal and that isn't happening much in recent weeks with Martinelli on the wings.
